Rev. Charlie Johnson
Charles Foster Johnson is the founding pastor of Bread, a faith community in Fort Worth’s Fairmount neighborhood. He is also currently interim pastor of the Second Baptist Church of Lubbock. In 2013, he established Pastors for Children, a national ecumenical network that mobilizes the faith community for public education ministry and advocacy. Charlie continues to lead this organization as its executive director.
Rev. Scott Hackler
Scott is a pastor in the United Methodist Church who is now enrolled in the MDiv program at Brite Divinity School at Texas Christian University. In 2014, he founded food manufacturer Halo del Santo. Its cocktail garnish and Mexican-style lollipops (paletas con chile) are sold or served by specialty grocers, candy shops, and bars across Texas and beyond. Scott’s appointment as co-pastor of Bread began in July 2024.
